Firstly, Thanks for the app. There was template that you should have followed. As well as not having a 110 we are 3/7 mythic we arent in a place to wait on you to level a toon. Again thank you for the app but at this time I'm going to have to deny this on the basis of you not having a toon raid ready.
Hmm. Interesting. A blank slate hmm?
I like it. But be warned. I like to write. So here goes.
Call me Mel.
I’ve been away from the game for about two years. Coming back, I knew I wanted a server with more people. I was previously on Kul Tiras (low pop). I started looking for guilds that had at least 400 to 800 members. I used GuildOx, Google, looked for websites (like yours), forum posts, how many you have online, whether you raid, when you raid, rankings, what you're looking for in a team, what you value. I didn't want hardcore but didn't want casual...I am looking for balance and presence.
I can level a toon to 110. I have a hunter at 110. To be clear, I am not raid-ready as of today. It will take a while to get raid-ready – that’s one of the reasons I’d like to join. I don’t need help leveling, but I want to make this fun. TBH I have not walked into a dungeon or raid in this patch…because I’m not in a guild. Yet.
I really do not want to get burned out (again) too quickly. My main toon was a priest (heals, but I can run all three specs) currently sitting at L100. I know that means nothing now if you have $$. But I worked to get my toons here. I have a L100 mage, another L100 hunter, and a warrior, druid, rogue, and a pally all in the 90s.
For raiding purposes, I'd rather roll rDPS or heals on priest. But I’m easy, really. What the guild needs. All main professions represented - I prefer to support myself in terms of mats as well as the guild for raids.
Um. I don’t tank – it’s better to say I suck at tanking. I’ve healed on the pally and the druid – but prefer the priest. I prefer rDPS to mDPS, but can do either. The mage is fun, the hunter is fun, the spriest is fun.
So why was I gone for two years? My job, mostly. But to be honest there was some burnout as well. I was not feeling WOD. That, coupled with difficulties getting enough folks together to raid was frustrating. I could have dealt with all that, but then I had some IRL issues that needed much more attention, and so it kind of came together as a good time to take a break. Work/life has settled down a lot. I went back and leveled this hunter through the entire game and when I got to Legion I definitely see some changes that I like.
OH wait: cool story. So we have a dog (Petey - Australian Shepherd), and we have a Roomba 650 floor vac, right? We named him Spot. Spot is programmed to roll around and clean the floors. So my wife puts Spot in the kitchen and sets him loose as she’s walking out the door to go shopping. On her way out she lets the dog in. We have pet gates up so the dog is trapped in the kitchen – which is usually fine because that’s where he normally stays. But apparently Spot made Petey nervous and so Petey poops…and Spot tries to clean it up. And fails. Wife gets home and there is dog poop ALL OVER the kitchen floor because it kinda got spread out… OK so, she cleans up the floor, and then takes this $400 robot outside and PUTS THE WATER HOSE TO IT! With the battery still in place and charged!! Fried the main board. I tried to fix it but even with a new main board it wouldn’t charge for some reason. We bought another one…kept the old one for spare parts.
About me: I live in Central time zone. I'm older, mature, consistent, calm, even-keeled, but excellent sense of humor. I typically was the one who helped get things calmed down after the Nth wipe, and focused on what the problem was to progress. I don’t have any logs but am familiar with World of Logs and how to use them. If I say I'm going to be there - I will be there. If something comes up - I will contact the raid lead to give them a heads up. You will have my cell to get in touch, and I will want yours.
I want to raid. But I also like just about everything else in WOW, with the exception of RPG. I’ve even done some PVP but its low on the list. I definitely like hanging with friends and doing stuff. But raids...yeah. The numbers, the calculations, the detail needed, the timing, the challenge. I loved raiding but never had a solid team to do that in a major way, and want to progress.
